Find your Voice

Many of you have probably seen me post incessantly about my new project lately on social media sites. It’s called yoU Mag. An online publication focused on empowering women. The tagline: “find your voice” …

yoU Mag is coming out Thursday, August 14th! It’s a collaboration of bloggers and experts in their fields. All of them women, sharing perspective, information and tidbits from their lives in hopes of helping you – maybe relate to their experiences or at the very least – learn something from it. It’s hard to encapsulate how excited I am about this – mostly because the idea came to me about three months ago – late at night when I was contemplating on what I could do as a woman in media to spread positivity. The lightbulb went off, and I didn’t think about the rest – the many challenges thrown my way, from finding bloggers to asking them to write, volunteering their free time for my “idea”.

Now that the launch is edging closer – it’s oh so near eeeek – I can’t help but to look back and reflect. My heart is humbled. Mostly because so many people have shown their support for this publication before it’s even been published. You must have faith in me. Thank you. Thank you to all the women who said YES. Which by the way was ALL OF THEM. It taught me something I already knew and want to spread to the women of the world. WE as women always “show up”, we always lend a helping hand with our hearts open – standing in support of each other. We want to see each other succeed, and that is a powerful message to share – especially in a society where we are sometimes told just the opposite.

In the words of our Cover Girl – who will be revealed THIS THURSDAY – “There is room for all of us at the top!”
