Sephora Splurge

I splurged on a few products at Sephora a few months ago. That store is my heaven and hell. Every time I walk in, I’m hit with a smattering of floral scents that tickle my senses. Every brand of makeup, skin care …you can find it all. Well, almost. Enough to make you go bankrupt. I minimize my Sephora trips because I always end up spending a couple hundred bucks. Don’t tell my husband. I think he’s slowly getting use to my makeup and skincare obsession. There was full disclosure before we took our vows.

Anyway.

This batch has a pink beauty blender, Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, SEPHORA blush, NARS Powder Foundation, NARS concealer, lipstick from MAC in Fleur D’Coral and a MAC eyeshadow combination.

Because I work in TV, I go through makeup like a bag of candy. Quickly. I loved the NARS Powder foundation some much, I went back for more. Same goes for the NARS concealer.

I do enjoy the Laura Mercier primer, and I still have some left. So I’ve gotten prolonged use out of it, but warning: it is PRICEY.

Now if you’re not looking to spend this kind of dough on makeup, in between my spendy trips to SEPHORA, I hit the grocery store for beauty buys.

Ever heard of Wet n’ Wild? Low Prices and decent palettes when it comes to eyeshadow. You can get just as much use out of them. However if you’re looking for more pigment, and are picky then you should probably stick to brands like MAC, or Dior. Remember however, you will be spending more.

There are some beauty products you just can’t cheap out on. That’s how I feel about this NARS combination I purchased. Great, full coverage for a night out, and because it’s a foundation powder you don’t need any liquid foundation underneath. That may look caked, says the girl who never thinks there’s such a thing as too much makeup.

All in all, I was a big fan of all these products, but my top two favorites was the NARS products. Definitely worth the cha-ching.
