Beauty On A Budget

That’s my motto quite frankly. When it comes to a lot of things. Do I keep a spreadsheet of my costs and count my pennies. Never. I don’t “hold on” to money BUT I do love a good deal, and I’m sure you’re in the same boat. So when I say “Beauty on a Budget”, I mean don’t spend more than you need to on beauty products. Why? Because women simply spend too much on products as it is. I know I do. So I seek to find beauty buys that are less painful on my pocketbook. Because I work in television, I experiment a lot. Not only when it comes to the colors, but the brand of makeup I use. I still haven’t found “The One” when it comes to certain products like foundation or bronzer, BUT I do have my favorites. And while I will splurge on the essentials (mascara, for example), I’m not a blush snob. There are things you can find in the grocery store that are just worthy as the stuff you find behind the counters at the mall. Trust me on this.

Same goes for clothes. There are certain items that are a must. Do I have a pair of red bottoms? Yes. Do I want more? Yes. BUT I think a savvy pair of heels can go a long way …for a lifetime. And so do a good pair of sunglasses and a purse. So while I fully endorse splurging on an LV bag, it’s not because I’m necessarily a brand snob. No. In fact, too much of anything can make you look ridiculous. I love nice things, and if I could afford every Tory Burch purse in her collection, I’d probably would. Again, spending some extra cash on a good purse actually SAVES you money in the long run. They last a lifetime because it’s quality stuff. So while there are definitely items that I fully support CREDIT CARDING haha, there are some items you can simply live without …and buy for less, somewhere else.
